Resume#
I work as a transmission engineer and am familiar with the planning, design, construction, project management, and closeout of power line projects. My work has given me experience with both the theoretical and practical aspects of design, including the use of PLS-CADD and internal tools for Enterprise Resource Management (ERM), such as SAP.
Before this role, I worked in the Toll Division of the Washington State Department of Transportation, focusing on Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) project delivery. I’m proud to have contributed to the tolling components of significant mega-projects, including the I-405 Express Toll Lanes, SR 167 Continuous Access, SR 520 Floating Bridge and Landing, and the SR 99 tunnel. At the Toll Division, I was promoted to an operations management role, where I supervised a team, streamlined reporting and data management tasks, and oversaw contracts with external vendors and internal stakeholders.
My passion for data management led me to pursue further education and skills in computer science. I enrolled in and completed an application development program at a local community college. The administrators were still in the process of adding a computer science program, but I didn’t want to wait around for that, so I enrolled in their application development program. I found that it was a mixture of computer science courses and something you would typically do at a bootcamp. Regardless of the program’s requirements and the degree you end up with, I gained valuable tools that I have been able to apply in my current and previous roles.
